Caria Manor

The haunted manor of the Carian royals in north-west Liurnia. Royal Knight Loretta guards the way to the Three Sisters and Ranni's Rise.

Bosses

  • Royal Knight Loretta: The spectral knight at the top of Caria Manor, past the Manor Upper Level grace, guarding the way to the Three Sisters. Stay near her horse's flank and dodge sideways when she draws her glintstone bow.
  • Glintstone Dragon Adula: Lands near the Three Sisters after the Royal Moongazing Grounds grace and flies off once badly hurt, so it cannot die here. Fight or ride past it; you finish it later at the Moonlight Altar.
  • Onyx Lord: Held in the Royal Grave Evergaol, east of the Behind Caria Manor grace. Keep up physical pressure and roll when he pulls you in with gravity magic.

  • Ash of War: Loretta's Slash: Dropped by Royal Knight Loretta at Caria Manor.
  • Ash of War: Carian Retaliation: Pidia, Carian Servant sells it for 3,000 runes; he waits on a ledge over the Manor Lower Level grace, reached by dropping down from the Three Sisters. His Bell Bearing moves it to the Twin Maiden Husks.
  • Ash of War: Chilling Mist: Three Sisters: kill the Teardrop Scarab among the ruins on the south side of Renna's Rise.
  • Carian Inverted Statue: Ranni gives it to you at Ranni's Rise after you hand her the Fingerslayer Blade.
  • Seluvis's Introduction: Preceptor Seluvis writes it for you at Seluvis's Rise.
  • Seluvis's Potion: Preceptor Seluvis gives it to you at Seluvis's Rise after Ranni sends you to him.
  • Amber Draught: Preceptor Seluvis brews it from the Amber Starlight if you side with his plan against Ranni.
  • Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook [6]: Caria Manor: follow the courtyard's right wall up the steps to the stone walkway and check the first room.
  • Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook [7]: Pidia, Carian Servant sells it for 2,500 runes at Caria Manor; drop onto the manor ramparts from the cliffs below Seluvis's Rise to reach him.
  • Pidia's Bell Bearing: On Pidia, Carian Servant's body in the Caria Manor church once Ranni's quest has moved on far enough.
  • Seluvis's Bell Bearing: On Preceptor Seluvis's body at Seluvis's Rise once Ranni's quest is complete.
  • Cracked Pot: Caria Manor: slip through the small archway to the left of the boss gate, drop to the ground and keep to the left wall until the cliff edge.
  • Ritual Pot: Sold by Pidia, Carian Servant at Caria Manor for 1,500 runes.
  • Carian Phalanx: Buy it for 12,000 runes from Preceptor Seluvis in his tower; Count Ymir also offers it in the DLC.
  • Loretta's Greatbow: Reward for beating Royal Knight Loretta at the top of Caria Manor.
  • Carian Piercer: Kill the Teardrop Scarab in the gardens on the east side of Caria Manor.

  • Jarwight Puppet: Bought with Starlight Shards from Preceptor Seluvis at Seluvis's Rise.
  • Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet: Seluvis sells it for Starlight Shards if his potion went to Nepheli; otherwise loot it from Pidia's body after Seluvis dies in Ranni's questline.
  • Nepheli Loux Puppet: Hand Seluvis's potion to Nepheli Loux; once Seluvis dies in Ranni's questline, take it from Pidia's body below Seluvis's Rise.
  • Dung Eater Puppet: Hand Seluvis's potion to the Dung Eater instead of Nepheli; Seluvis then sells this puppet for Starlight Shards.
  • Magic Scorpion Charm: Preceptor Seluvis gives it to you for delivering the Amber Starlight in his scheme. Lost once Ranni receives the Fingerslayer Blade, because Seluvis dies.
  • Golden Seed: Under a golden sapling on the manor's upper level, on the way from the Manor Upper Level grace toward Royal Knight Loretta.
  • Memory Stone: Climb Seluvis's Rise in the Three Sisters, north of Caria Manor, and open the chest at its summit.
  • Larval Tear: Resurrection painting reward: in the cemetery on the east side of Caria Manor, past Royal Knight Loretta, touch the ghost in the chair to reveal the tear and the Juvenile Scholar outfit.
  • Larval Tear: Sold once by Pidia, Carian Servant for 3,000 runes on the balcony above the Manor Lower Level grace; drop from the Three Sisters cliffs to reach him.
  • Celestial Dew: Sold once by Pidia, Carian Servant for 5,000 runes at Caria Manor; drop from the Three Sisters cliffs to his balcony.
  • Sword of Night and Flame: At the Manor Upper Level grace, follow the left fork of the walkway, drop to a rooftop, and descend the ladder inside to find the chest containing the sword.
  • Troll Knight's Sword: Drop from the Troll Knight that blocks the main stair path in Caria Manor.
  • Royal Greatsword: Blaidd turns hostile at Ranni's Rise late in Ranni's questline; defeat him there to take it.
  • Ripple Blade: Pidia, Carian Servant, sells it for 3,500 runes; reach him by dropping east from Ranni's Rise over roofs and ladders. If he dies, give his bell bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks.
  • Grave Scythe: Skeletal Mages carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; three appear on the road east of the Behind Caria Manor grace.
  • Urumi: Ride the lift down from Manor Upper Level, go down the stairs and jump from the lower landing onto the scaffolded building; follow it to a balcony of Fingercreepers.
  • Ice Crest Shield: From the Main Caria Manor Gate grace, work your way north-east to the manor's east wall and climb the short slope there to a corpse.
  • Black Leather Shield: Pidia, Carian Servant, sells it for 2,500 runes in his hut reached by dropping east from Ranni's Rise; his bell bearing moves the stock to the Twin Maiden Husks.

Walkthrough: Caria Manor: Royal Knight Loretta and Ranni's Rise

  • Ride north-east to the Main Caria Manor Gate grace.
  • Hurry through the manor grounds to the Manor Lower Level grace.
  • Cross the bridges and ride the lift up to the Manor Upper Level grace.
  • On the way toward the boss, take the Golden Seed from the golden sapling past the Manor Upper Level grace.
  • Run past the enemies and defeat Royal Knight Loretta for Loretta's Greatbow and Ash of War: Loretta's Slash.
  • Light the Royal Moongazing Grounds grace beyond her arena.
  • Head outside and west, slipping past or fighting Glintstone Dragon Adula, and light the Ranni's Rise grace.
  • Climb the tower to Ranni and speak with her; she turns you away for now.

Walkthrough: Caria Manor: Joining Ranni

  • Return to Ranni at the top of her tower and agree to serve her.
  • Go downstairs in the tower and speak with Blaidd's spirit.
  • Speak with Iji's spirit in the tower as well.
  • Talk to the spirit of Sorcerer Seluvis until he repeats.
  • Climb back up and talk to Ranni once more.

Walkthrough: Caria Manor: Seluvis and Pidia

  • From Ranni's Rise, go south to Seluvis's Rise and talk to Seluvis until he repeats; he gives you Seluvis's Introduction and Seluvis's Potion.
  • Leave the rise, walk east to the cliff edge and drop onto the manor rampart below, then follow it into a building.
  • Above the Manor Lower Level grace, meet Pidia, Carian Servant and talk until he loops.

Walkthrough: Caria Manor: Sellen's Puppet and Seluvis's Secret

  • In the ruins beside Ranni's Rise, find the illusory floor that hides a staircase and descend to Seluvis's puppet chamber.
  • Break the illusory wall at the back of the chamber and use Sellen's Primal Glintstone on the Sellen puppet behind it.
  • Talk to Sellen, now speaking through the puppet, until she repeats herself.
  • Read the note lying where the illusory wall used to be.
  • Confront Seluvis at Seluvis's Rise; he opens his sorcery stock and offers a puppet, so carry at least one Starlight Shard.
  • Pick up another Starlight Shard, reload, and ask Seluvis for more puppets to open his full puppet shop.
  • Buy a second puppet and talk to him again until he asks you to fetch the Amber Starlight; buy out his puppets if he doesn't.
  • Hand Seluvis the Amber Starlight and accept the Magic Scorpion Charm.
  • Talk once more to receive the Amber Draught, but never give it to Ranni, or she shuns you until you seek absolution at the Church of Vows.
  • Give Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade at Ranni's Rise and receive the Carian Inverted Statue in return.

Walkthrough: Caria Manor: Seluvis's End and Renna's Rise

  • Visit War Counselor Iji at the Road to the Manor grace and hear his latest news.
  • Seluvis lies dead at Seluvis's Rise; take the Preceptor's Set and Seluvis's Bell Bearing (his puppets can still be bought from the body).
  • Drop into Pidia's hidden room in Caria Manor from the Three Sisters cliff and loot his body for Pidia's Bell Bearing and Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet.
  • North-east of Ranni's Rise, enter the now-open Renna's Rise and take the waygate inside.

Walkthrough: Liurnia: Ranni's Dark Moon and Blaidd's Fall

  • Ride the lift north of Astel's arena up to the Moonlight Altar grace.
  • If Glintstone Dragon Adula still guards the plateau, defeat her for Adula's Moonblade.
  • The Cathedral of Manus Celes grace sits at the end of the north-eastern road across the plateau; unlock it.
  • Drop down the hole in the cathedral floor, give Ranni the Dark Moon Ring and accept the Dark Moon Greatsword.
  • Go back to War Counselor Iji and tell him how Ranni's journey has gone.
  • At Ranni's Rise, defeat the now-hostile Blaidd for the Royal Greatsword and his armor.
  • Jump onto the wall behind Seluvis's Rise to find the Black Wolf Mask.
  • Tell Iji about Blaidd's fate and keep talking until he goes quiet.
  • Reload and loot Iji's body for Iji's Mirrorhelm and Iji's Bell Bearing.
