Elden Ring Shields Checklist

Every small shield, medium shield, greatshield and thrusting shield. Where to find each one in Elden Ring, DLC included.

Small Shield

  • Rickety Shield: Demi-Humans carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; a pack sits on top of the Sellia Gateway, and some in Mistwood have it too.
  • Riveted Wooden Shield: The Nomadic Merchant under the Mistwood Minor Erdtree, near the Fort Haight West grace, sells it for 600 runes.
  • Blue-White Wooden Shield: From the South Raya Lucaria Gate grace, go down the bridge, turn right at once and circle the building to find it.
  • Scripture Wooden Shield: Skeletons holding it drop it about 2% of the time; two stand at the start of the Deathtouched Catacombs.
  • Red Thorn Roundshield: Starting shield of the Samurai, or buy it for 600 runes from the Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Pillory Shield: Inside one of the locked cells of Gaol Cave in western Caelid.
  • Buckler: Gatekeeper Gostoc sells it at Stormveil's main gate for 1,500 runes.
  • Iron Roundshield: The Nomadic Merchant on the beach by Coastal Cave sells it for 900 runes.
  • Gilded Iron Shield: In the graveyard a little north-east of the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Man-Serpent's Shield: Man-Serpents carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; farm the north balcony of the building that holds the Guest Hall grace.
  • Ice Crest Shield: From the Main Caria Manor Gate grace, work your way north-east to the manor's east wall and climb the short slope there to a corpse.
  • Rift Shield: The Nomadic Merchant below Bellum Church sells it for 1,800 runes.
  • Perfumer's Shield: About 2% of Perfumers carrying it drop it; kill every one as you head to the first flower in Perfumer's Grotto.
  • Shield of the Guilty: East of the Church of Pilgrimage, enter the Demi-Human Forest Ruins, descend into the cellar below the ruins' southern end and open the chest.
  • Spiralhorn Shield: On a corpse on the cliff south of the lake where the Wandering Mausoleum walks, near the Mausoleum Compound grace.
  • Smoldering Shield: From the Prison Town Church grace, cross the roofs west to a wooden bridge, exit through the archway, drop down on the right and follow the lava north to the graves with jars.
  • Coil Shield: In the Volcano Cave, drop through the hole only once, then follow the tunnel to a small cave where two large Demi-Humans guard it.
  • Smithscript Shield (Shadow of the Erdtree): In Taylew's Ruined Forge, go left down the ladder, jump the gap and climb the pipe, then take the left balcony and fallen pillar to where a Golem stands over the shield.
  • Shield of Night (Shadow of the Erdtree): In Bonny Gaol, ride the jar lift down and stay on it; it carries you back up past your start to a ledge with the shield.

Medium Shield

  • Hawk Crest Wooden Shield: In the Stormveil armory: ride the lift down from Rampart Tower, then turn left twice through the Grafted Scion's room.
  • Horse Crest Wooden Shield: Part of Patches' stock in Murkwater Cave, for 1,000 runes.
  • Candletree Wooden Shield: In the first room with three chests in Sage's Cave, past the hidden walls.
  • Flame Crest Wooden Shield: On a corpse by the shacks on the north side of Ailing Village.
  • Marred Wooden Shield: Step outside the Rampart Tower among the Warhawks and drop off the left balcony onto the ledges; the shield comes into view below.
  • Sun Realm Shield: Skeletal swordsmen carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; two rise at night on the main road out from Saintsbridge.
  • Round Shield: Sold for 1,000 runes by the Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Large Leather Shield: Merchant Kalé at the Church of Elleh sells it for 600 runes.
  • Black Leather Shield: Pidia, Carian Servant, sells it for 2,500 runes in his hut reached by dropping east from Ranni's Rise; his bell bearing moves the stock to the Twin Maiden Husks.
  • Marred Leather Shield: Climb the staircase beside the Stormveil Cliffside grace; a corpse on the way up holds it.
  • Heater Shield: Starting shield of the Vagabond, or buy it from the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold for 1,500 runes.
  • Blue Crest Heater Shield: The Nomadic Merchant below Bellum Church sells it for 1,500 runes.
  • Red Crest Heater Shield: The Nomadic Merchant by the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge grace sells it for 2,500 runes.
  • Beast Crest Heater Shield: In a chest at the enemy camp between the Warmaster's Shack and Saintsbridge.
  • Inverted Hawk Heater Shield: Before the Hallowhorn Grounds, turn back up the slope on the right past a few Ancestral Followers and head west to a corpse with it.
  • Eclipse Crest Heater Shield: From the plateau above the Tombsward Catacombs, look over the east edge and drop to the small stone platform with a corpse.
  • Kite Shield: Sold for 1,000 runes by the Nomadic Merchant near the Liurnia Lake Shore grace.
  • Blue-Gold Kite Shield: The Nomadic Merchant in Mistwood, near the Fort Haight West grace, sells it for 1,000 runes.
  • Scorpion Kite Shield: The Nomadic Merchant by the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge grace sells it for 2,000 runes.
  • Twinbird Kite Shield: Drop from the Deathbird that appears at night near the Hermit Merchant's Shack grace.
  • Brass Shield: Soldiers carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; Godrick Soldiers at Gatefront Ruins are the easy farm.
  • Banished Knight's Shield: Banished Knights holding it drop it about 4% of the time; one stands in front of the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.
  • Messmer Soldier Shield (Shadow of the Erdtree): Messmer Soldiers carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; they are common across the Gravesite Plain and Scadu Altus, for example near the Castle Front grace.
  • Wolf Crest Shield (Shadow of the Erdtree): Follow the main route of Castle Ensis toward the chapel; just before it, take the stairs down in the south-west corner to a chest.
  • Serpent Crest Shield (Shadow of the Erdtree): Reward for solving the Incursion painting; its spot is near the Ghostflame Dragon's lake by the Greatbridge, North grace.
  • Albinauric Shield: About 2% of Albinaurics holding it drop it; a group sits on the church roof to the north-west of the Academy Gate Town grace.
  • Beastman's Jar-Shield: Azula Beastmen carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; several fill the rooms near the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths grace.
  • Carian Knight's Shield: Drop from Moongrum, Carian Knight, who blocks the way near the Debate Parlor in Raya Lucaria.
  • Silver Mirrorshield: Inside the wrecked church at the Apostate Derelict in the Consecrated Snowfield.
  • Great Turtle Shell: Use the spiritspring next to the Castle Morne Rampart grace to leap onto the far eastern tower of the walls, where the shell lies.
  • Silver Grooved Shield: The Nomadic Merchant downhill from Bellum Church sells it for 2,000 runes.
  • Golden Lion Shield (Shadow of the Erdtree): Redmane Freyja gives it to you on the Specimen Storehouse's seventh floor once you deliver the letter Sir Ansbach writes for her.

Greatshield

  • Wooden Greatshield: In Stormveil's main courtyard below the Liftside Chamber, climb the stairs of the leftmost shack to the balcony where it lies.
  • Lordsworn's Shield: Godrick Soldiers carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; several in Gatefront Ruins have one.
  • Briar Greatshield: Reward for defeating Elemer of the Briar at the end of the Shaded Castle.
  • Spiked Palisade Shield: About halfway along the canyon from the Deep Siofra Well grace to the Great Jar, lying beneath a giant.
  • Icon Shield: Inside the northern house of the Woodfolk Ruins, north-east of the Minor Erdtree near the Bower of Bounty grace.
  • Golden Beast Crest Shield: Drop from the Grafted Scion at the Chapel of Anticipation, reached later through the Four Belfries waygate.
  • Manor Towershield: From the Secluded Cell grace, edge along the copper ledges to the south windows, climb the stairs and pass through the stairwell full of commoners; the shield is in that room.
  • Crossed-Tree Towershield: The Nomadic Merchant by the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge grace sells it for 3,800 runes.
  • Inverted Hawk Towershield: The pale Fallen Hawk Soldiers in Nokron drop it now and then; many gather in the courtyard and church near the Nokron, Eternal City grace.
  • Dragon Towershield: From the Dragon Temple Rooftop, cross the bridge before the lightning dragon, drop west down the platforms, go through the east doorway and up the ladder to a chest guarded by a Banished Knight.
  • Distinguished Greatshield: The Hermit Merchant at his shack in the Capital Outskirts sells it for 5,500 runes.
  • Gilded Greatshield: Godrick Knights carrying it drop it about 4% of the time; one patrols Gatefront Ruins.
  • Cuckoo Greatshield: Cuckoo Knights drop it about 4% of the time; four riders patrol between the East Raya Lucaria Gate and Bellum Church graces.
  • Redmane Greatshield: Redmane Knights carrying it drop it about 4% of the time; farm the camp west of the Smoldering Wall grace.
  • Golden Greatshield: Leyndell Knights holding it drop it about 4% of the time; a lone one stands south of the Artist's Shack in Liurnia.
  • Haligtree Crest Greatshield: Only one Haligtree Knight carries it (about 4% drop): go out along the branch from the Drainage Channel grace toward the church and find him in the corner outside it.
  • Black Steel Greatshield (Shadow of the Erdtree): Drop from Black Knight Garrew, who patrols Fog Rift Fort below the cliffs west of the Scadu Altus, West grace.
  • Crucible Hornshield: Drop from the Crucible Knight patrolling the round buildings on the way to the Valiant Gargoyles at the Siofra Aqueduct.
  • Dragonclaw Shield: Drop from the Draconic Tree Sentinel on the road up to the Capital Outskirts, near the Outer Wall Battleground grace.
  • Fingerprint Stone Shield: Behind the Cathedral of the Forsaken, drop down the shaft of platforms; at the bottom, search the floor near the seated enemy to find it.
  • Eclipse Crest Greatshield: Mausoleum Knights carrying it drop it about 4% of the time; one waits right outside the Black Knife Catacombs.
  • Ant's Skull Plate: Climb up into Nokstella, Eternal City and check the first building on the left, up its stairs.
  • Erdtree Greatshield: Drop from the pair of Tree Sentinels guarding the stairway up to the Capital Outskirts.
  • Jellyfish Shield: Ride north from the Foot of the Four Belfries grace; it lies on the road where a crowd of red jellyfish spirits floats.
  • Visage Shield: Beat the two Mad Pumpkin Heads in the cellar of the Caelem Ruins and open the chest behind them.
  • One-Eyed Shield: Dropped by Chief Guardian Arghanthy, who invades on Whiteridge Road near the Guardians' Garrison.
  • Verdigris Greatshield (Shadow of the Erdtree): Sir Moore's reward: if he dies during his questline, take it from his corpse in Scadu Altus; otherwise it is yours after the last NPC fight at Enir-Ilim.

Thrusting Shield

  • Dueling Shield (Shadow of the Erdtree): On the Specimen Storehouse's third floor, where a Fire Knight waits on the balcony, head south over the bridge and hop onto the column on the left halfway across.
  • Carian Thrusting Shield (Shadow of the Erdtree): Go west from the Storehouse, Back Section grace; a Fire Knight stands guard over the shield.
  • Ritual Thrusting Shield: Go to the Caelid Colosseum by the Great Jar, open its doors and pick the shield up inside.
