Elden Ring NPC Questlines Checklist
Every Elden Ring NPC questline step by step, with the missable points and the rewards, so you never lose a quest.
Melina
The hooded maiden who makes the accord with you, hands over Torrent and walks beside you toward the Erdtree and the Forge of the Giants.
- Rest at your third Site of Grace in Limgrave (Gatefront is the usual one) and accept Melina's accord to unlock levelling and the Spectral Steed Whistle.
- Accept her offer to bring you to Roundtable Hold, which comes after Margit, the Fell Omen or after resting at a grace outside Limgrave.
- Rest at the Minor Erdtree Church grace outside Leyndell and talk to her to pick up the Outer Order gesture before the Erdtree burns.
- Kill Morgott, the Omen King and rest at the Elden Throne grace; Melina returns and requests that you take her to the Forge of the Giants.
- Stay away from the Three Fingers until the Erdtree is burning; taking the Frenzied Flame sooner makes Melina leave you for good.
- Rest at the Forge of the Giants grace and speak to Melina to set the Erdtree alight and close her story.
Twin Maiden Husks
A pair of silent husks in a side room of Roundtable Hold whose shop grows with every Bell Bearing you bring them.
- Visit the Twin Maiden Husks off the main hall of Roundtable Hold for basic goods, spirit ash stock and arrows.
- Hand them each Bell Bearing you find; every one permanently adds that merchant's or smith's stock to their shop.
Finger Reader Enia
The old Finger Reader who speaks for the Two Fingers and turns remembrances into boss weapons, spells and armour.
- Defeat your first Shardbearer, then enter the Two Fingers' chamber in Roundtable Hold to meet Enia; the Two Fingers grant the Rapture gesture.
- Trade each remembrance with her for one of its rewards; the other choice needs a copy from a Walking Mausoleum or a new cycle.
- Check her shop after each demigod falls, since she also sells their armour sets, which Boc the Seamster can later alter.
Smithing Master Hewg
The chained smith of Roundtable Hold who reinforces your arms and handles Ashes of War, bound to forge a weapon fit to kill a god.
- Use Hewg in Roundtable Hold to upgrade weapons beyond +3 and to fit or duplicate Ashes of War.
- Ask him about Roderika and carry their words back and forth until she becomes the Hold's spirit tuner (see Roderika).
- After the Erdtree burns, Roderika asks you to talk Hewg into leaving the Hold; speak to him for his last words on the matter.
Miriel, Pastor of Vows
A giant mitred tortoise who keeps the Church of Vows, teaching spells from donated scrolls and prayerbooks and granting absolution.
- Reach the Church of Vows on the eastern isle of Liurnia (or via the waygate below the Grand Library) and talk to Miriel.
- Give him the Scrolls and Prayerbooks you collect so he can teach you their sorceries and incantations.
- Hand him the Golden Order Principia to learn the Law of Regression, an alternative to Brother Corhyn for Goldmask's riddle.
- If you wrong an NPC such as Ranni, use a Celestial Dew here to seek absolution and restore their trust.
Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon
Once defeated, the Carian queen stays in the Grand Library cradling her amber egg and offers rebirth to Tarnished who bring Larval Tears.
- Defeat Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon in the Raya Lucaria Grand Library, then talk to her where she now sits.
- Spend a Larval Tear with her to be reborn and reassign your attributes; doing it earns the Balled Up gesture.
- Use her mirror option whenever you want to change your character's appearance.

A travelling merchant sheltering in the Church of Elleh, the first shop you reach and the man who points you to Blaidd.
- Visit Kalé inside the Church of Elleh and buy the essentials, notably the Crafting Kit and the Torch.
- Once you have heard a wolf howling at the Mistwood Ruins, ask Kalé about it to learn the Finger Snap gesture.

- Find Varré outside the Rose Church on an island in western Liurnia and take the Festering Bloody Fingers he offers.
- Finish three invasions alongside them, or invade the Writheblood Ruins on the Altus Plateau and kill Magnus the Beast Claw.
- Return to Varré, ask to be anointed and receive the Lord of Blood's Favor.
- Soak the cloth in a dead maiden's blood; the body in the chair at the Church of Inhibition is the simplest choice.
- Bring it back to Varré for the reusable Bloody Finger and the Pureblood Knight's Medal, which warps you to Mohgwyn Palace.
- In Mohgwyn Palace, use the red sign near the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint grace to invade and defeat Varré.

- Once you own Torrent, warp to the Church of Elleh at night and talk to "Renna" for the Spirit Calling Bell and Lone Wolf Ashes.
- Defeat Royal Knight Loretta at Caria Manor and climb past the Three Sisters to Ranni's Rise.
- Offer your service to Ranni at the top of her tower; if Rogier's quest made her turn you away, consult him and return.

- Help Blaidd in the Siofra River until Sorceress Sellen reveals that Starscourge Radahn must fall to open Nokron (see Blaidd).
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn at Redmane Castle so the falling star tears open a crater in Limgrave.
- Descend into Nokron, Eternal City and claim the Fingerslayer Blade at the Night's Sacred Ground.
- Finish everything you want from Preceptor Seluvis first, because handing Ranni the blade leads to his death.
- Give the Fingerslayer Blade to Ranni at Ranni's Rise and receive the Carian Inverted Statue.
- Place the statue in the Carian Study Hall and climb the upturned Divine Tower of Liurnia for the Cursemark of Death.
- Enter the now-open Renna's Rise beside Ranni's Rise and collect the Snow Witch set inside.

- Back in the Raya Lucaria Grand Library, open the locked chest at Rennala's side with that key to claim the Dark Moon Ring.
- Wade over the Lake of Rot to the Grand Cloister, where a coffin carries you down to Astel, Naturalborn of the Void; defeat it.
- Take the lift up to the Moonlight Altar and drop into the Cathedral of Manus Celes.
- Slip the Dark Moon Ring onto Ranni's finger to receive the Dark Moon Greatsword.
- After the final battle, touch the blue sign to summon Ranni instead of Marika's remains for the Age of the Stars ending.

- Wander near the Mistwood Ruins until you hear a wolf howling.

- Retrieve the Amber Starlight from the rocky canyon northeast of the Altus Highway Junction grace.
- Give him the Amber Starlight for the Magic Scorpion Charm, which cannot be obtained any other way.

- If the Dung Eater drank the potion, buy the Dung Eater Puppet from Seluvis before Ranni gets the Fingerslayer Blade.
- Once Ranni has the blade, find Seluvis dead in his tower and loot his Preceptor set.
- Visit Pidia at Caria Manor afterwards for the puppet left on his body.

- Drop from the Three Sisters onto the Caria Manor ramparts and find Pidia in the room above the Manor Lower Level grace.
- Buy the Weathered Map from him; it marks where the Amber Starlight for Seluvis lies.
- After Seluvis dies, return to find Pidia dead too and loot his Bell Bearing and a puppet: Nepheli Loux if she drank the potion, otherwise Dolores the Sleeping Arrow.
