Walkthrough: Mohgwyn Palace: The Lord of Blood

  • North-west of the Yelough Anix Ruins in the western snowfield, defeat the invader Sanguine Noble for the Sanguine Noble Set; this wakes the nearby waygate.
  • Step onto the waygate just west of there to arrive at the Palace Approach Ledge-Road grace.
  • Explore the blood lake to the south until a Nameless White Mask invades three separate times; win each fight for the War Surgeon Set.
  • Go north past the horn-blowing Albinaurics, then west to a ruin where a seated corpse holds Map: Mohgwyn Palace.
  • Climb the stairs nearby to the Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance grace.
  • Follow the tunnel to its far end and touch the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint grace.
  • Head back into the tunnel, use the red sign to invade White Mask Varré and defeat him.
  • Talk to the dying Varré near his sign and take Varré's Bouquet.
  • At the grace, mix the Purifying Crystal Tear into your Flask of Wondrous Physick to blunt Mohg's blood curse.
  • Climb past the grace, ride the lift and defeat Mohg, Lord of Blood.
  • Rest at the Cocoon of the Empyrean grace that appears beside Miquella's cocoon.

Walkthrough: Gravesite Plain: Crossing into the Land of Shadow

  • Before the DLC opens you need two base-game kills: Starscourge Radahn in Caelid and Mohg, Lord of Blood in Mohgwyn Palace.
  • Speak with Needle Knight Leda, who now stands beside Miquella's cocoon at the Cocoon of the Empyrean grace.
  • Reach out to the withered arm hanging from the cocoon to be carried into the Land of Shadow.
  • Ride a short way north-east from where you arrive and touch the Gravesite Plain grace.
  • Keep going north-east past the pale tree hung with corpses; a small altar beyond it holds a Revered Spirit Ash.
  • Further north-east, read the stele to add Map: Gravesite Plain.
  • Spare every friendly, Pest-like Forager you meet in the DLC; killing them angers Moore and can cost you cookbooks and quest rewards.
  • Ride north through the burned-out settlement to the Scorched Ruins grace.
  • In the graveyard east of Scorched Ruins, chase down the glowing Shadowpot before it flees; it drops a Scadutree Fragment.
  • Optional detour: take the road south from Scorched Ruins to where it ends at the Church of Consolation for two Scadutree Fragments.
  • Head north-west along the road and touch the Three-Path Cross grace.
  • Examine Miquella's Cross beside the grace and pick up the Scadutree Fragment at its foot.
  • Chat with Redmane Freyja by the grace until she has nothing new to say.
  • Talk to Hornsent sitting nearby; he gives you the Cross Map, which marks more of Miquella's Crosses.
  • Ride west along the road until the Main Gate Cross grace comes into view, and activate it.
  • Check Miquella's Cross by this grace too; another Scadutree Fragment lies beneath it.
  • Meet Moore, the merchant who leads the Forager Brood; browse his stock and keep chatting to hear him out.
  • Speak with Sir Ansbach at the same cross until his lines start repeating.
