Weeping Peninsula

A rain-soaked peninsula south of Limgrave with Castle Morne at its tip, the Tower of Oridys and the first Evergaols and catacombs worth clearing.

Bosses

  • Night's Cavalry: Rides the road near the Castle Morne Rampart grace at night. Stay mounted to keep pace and hit its flank after each flail swing.
  • Deathbird: After dark it roams the rocky rise beyond the broken wall south of the Castle Morne Rampart grace. Bring Holy damage and keep it in front of you.
  • Leonine Misbegotten: The boss of Castle Morne at the southern tip of the peninsula, past the great gate. It attacks in wild leaping flurries; roll toward it and punish the long recovery afterwards.
  • Erdtree Burial Watchdog: Waits at the end of Impaler's Catacombs with a few imps for company. Kill the imps first, then wear the watchdog down with Strike damage.
  • Runebear: Prowls Earthbore Cave on the peninsula. Its charges cover a lot of ground, so stay at its flank and use Fire or Sleep.
  • Scaly Misbegotten: Guards the end of Morne Tunnel, the mine near Castle Morne. Its anchor has long reach; bait a swing, then step in from the side.
  • Erdtree Avatar: Stands under the Minor Erdtree south of the Church of Pilgrimage. Fire works very well; stay behind it and move away when it raises its hand for golden magic.
  • Cemetery Shade: At the bottom of Tombsward Catacombs with a few skeletons. Clear the skeletons, keep moving so its grab misses and use Holy or fast weapons.
  • Miranda the Blighted Bloom: A giant poison flower at the end of Tombsward Cave, ringed by smaller sprouts. Cut down the sprouts first, step out of its poison mist and burn it with Fire.
  • Ancient Hero of Zamor: Fought in the Weeping Evergaol east of the Fourth Church of Marika. It dodges a lot and swings a frosty curved sword; wait out the leap and spin, then counter.

  • Irina's Letter: Irina gives it to you on the road near the Bridge of Sacrifice grace; carry it to Edgar at Castle Morne.
  • Sellen's Primal Glintstone: Sellen hands it to you when you visit her true body below the Witchbane Ruins late in her quest.
  • Map: Weeping Peninsula: Ride south along the main road past the Castle Morne Rampart grace to the stele by the roadside.

  • Nomadic Merchant's Bell Bearing [4]: The Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace. Merchants never die on their own, so you must kill him to get it.
  • Isolated Merchant's Bell Bearing [1]: The Isolated Merchant at his shack in the south-west of the Weeping Peninsula. Merchants never die on their own, so you must kill him to get it.
  • Prattling Pate "Please Help": Impaler's Catacombs: slide under the spike trap and pick it up on the path beyond.
  • Prattling Pate "Thank You": Tombsward Catacombs: near where the main route ends, just after a second flame pillar.
  • Cracked Pot: Sold for 600 runes by the Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Crystal Burst: The Demi-Human Queen inside the Demi-Human Forest Ruins holds it; the ruins lie to the south-east of the Church of Pilgrimage, Weeping Peninsula.
  • Ambush Shard: Loot the body in the cells beneath the Witchbane Ruins, south of the Fourth Church of Marika.
  • Divine Fortification: Kill the Teardrop Scarab on top of a mossy fallen stone structure just south-west of the Tombsward Ruins, Weeping Peninsula.
  • Lightning Strike: Kill the Teardrop Scarab hiding among gravestones down the west cliffs from the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Poison Mist: Kill the Teardrop Scarab in the woods south-east of the Castle Morne Rampart grace, past the broken wall.
  • The Flame of Frenzy: Loot the body slumped against a pillar on the left side of the Callu Baptismal Church in Ailing Village.
  • Demi-Human Ashes: Reward for the Erdtree Burial Watchdog in the Impaler's Catacombs, Weeping Peninsula.
  • Warhawk Ashes: Reward for the Prophecy painting: stand at the clifftop just north of the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Lhutel the Headless: Reward for the Cemetery Shade in the Tombsward Catacombs, north-west of Castle Morne.
  • Crimson Amber Medallion: Can be picked as a keepsake when you create your character. Otherwise buy it from the Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace for 1,500 runes.
  • Viridian Amber Medallion: Beat Miranda the Blighted Bloom at the end of Tombsward Cave.
  • Radagon's Scarseal: Reward for defeating the Ancient Hero of Zamor inside the Weeping Evergaol.
  • Spelldrake Talisman: Reward for defeating the Runebear at the end of Earthbore Cave.
  • Twinblade Talisman: Castle Morne: from the Behind the Castle grace drop into the jail, climb the ladder of the tower to the northwest and open the chest.

  • Sacred Tear: At the altar of Callu Baptismal Church, found in the Ailing Village at the centre of the Weeping Peninsula.

  • Faith-knot Crystal Tear: Drop down the cliff east of the Church of Pilgrimage; the bowl sits under a tree among flower monsters, north of the Demi-Human Forest Ruins.
  • Crimsonburst Crystal Tear: Dropped with the Opaline Bubbletear by the Erdtree Avatar under the Minor Erdtree south of the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Opaline Bubbletear: Dropped with the Crimsonburst Crystal Tear by the Erdtree Avatar under the Weeping Peninsula Minor Erdtree, south of the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Memory Stone: Chest at the summit of Oridys's Rise, south of the Beside the Crater-Pocked Glade grace. You must solve the tower's seal puzzle to enter.
  • Bloodstained Dagger: Demi-Human Chiefs carrying it drop it about 4% of the time; one stands on the rope bridge between the South of the Lookout Tower grace and the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Weathered Straight Sword: The commoners of Ailing Village drop it at roughly 2% when they carry it.
  • Bastard Sword: Sold for 3,000 runes by the Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Claymore: In Castle Morne, climb the rubble past the praying Misbegotten near the lift and open the chest in the room behind the door.
  • Zweihander: The Isolated Merchant at his shack on the Weeping Peninsula sells it for 3,500 runes.
  • Grafted Blade Greatsword: Reward for beating the Leonine Misbegotten at Castle Morne.
  • Grossmesser: Skeletons wielding it drop it about 2% of the time; farm the swordsmen in the Tombsward Catacombs and skip the archers.
  • Bandit's Curved Sword: Skeletal Bandits carrying it drop it at about 2%; one stands right beside the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Iron Cleaver: Misbegotten wielding it drop it about 2% of the time; ride the Castle Morne lift and fight the big group by the bonfires.
  • Sacrificial Axe: Drop from the Deathbird that shows up at night on the Weeping Peninsula near the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Longhaft Axe: Misbegotten carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; one sleeps just across the bridge from the Beside the Rampart Gaol grace.
  • Rusted Anchor: Drop from the Scaly Misbegotten at the end of Morne Tunnel.
  • Morning Star: Search the wrecked wagons on the road between the Bridge of Sacrifice and Castle Morne Rampart graces.
  • Nightrider Flail: Drop from the Night's Cavalry that rides near the Castle Morne Rampart grace after dark.
  • Winged Scythe: In a chest in the cellar of the Tombsward Ruins, west of the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Whip: In Castle Morne, drop down from near the bridge onto the rooftops below until you land in a gaol building with rats; the whip is inside.
  • Red Branch Shortbow: Pages carrying it drop it about 4% of the time; two lurk in the cellar of the Tombsward Ruins.
  • Misbegotten Shortbow: Winged Misbegotten on the ramparts of Castle Morne drop it about 2% of the time.
  • Light Crossbow: Sold for 1,500 runes by the Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Hand Ballista: In the chest at the top of the Forest Lookout Tower, north of the South of the Lookout Tower grace.
  • Demi-Human Queen's Staff: Carried by the Demi-Human Queen who dwells in the Demi-Human Forest Ruins, which lie to the east of the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Steel-Wire Torch: In Castle Morne, go past the praying Misbegotten, down the stairs and the first ladder, then turn left to find it.
  • Red Thorn Roundshield: Starting shield of the Samurai, or buy it for 600 runes from the Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Gilded Iron Shield: In the graveyard a little north-east of the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Shield of the Guilty: East of the Church of Pilgrimage, enter the Demi-Human Forest Ruins, descend into the cellar below the ruins' southern end and open the chest.
  • Flame Crest Wooden Shield: On a corpse by the shacks on the north side of Ailing Village.
  • Round Shield: Sold for 1,000 runes by the Nomadic Merchant near the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Eclipse Crest Heater Shield: From the plateau above the Tombsward Catacombs, look over the east edge and drop to the small stone platform with a corpse.
  • Great Turtle Shell: Use the spiritspring next to the Castle Morne Rampart grace to leap onto the far eastern tower of the walls, where the shell lies.

Walkthrough: Weeping Peninsula: Bridge of Sacrifice to Church of Pilgrimage

  • Leave Agheel Lake South on the south-eastern road, cross the Bridge of Sacrifice and light the grace waiting at its far end.
  • Irina sits beside the road nearby; talk to her until she repeats to receive Irina's Letter. Leave her unharmed.
  • Take the road south to light the Castle Morne Rampart grace.
  • Ride north-west up the road until you reach the South of the Lookout Tower grace.
  • Over the western bridge, a road climbs north to the Church of Pilgrimage; light the grace inside.
  • Pick up the Sacred Tear inside the Church of Pilgrimage.
  • Rest and talk to Melina here until she repeats herself.

Walkthrough: Weeping Peninsula: Castle Morne and Edgar

  • Return to the Castle Morne Rampart grace and ride south to the stele holding Map: Weeping Peninsula.
  • Harvest the Golden Seed from the golden sapling beside the stele.
  • Continue south to Castle Morne and light the Castle Morne Lift grace.
  • Ride the lift up, slip around the kneeling worshippers on the right, cut through the room beyond and climb both ladders.
  • Cross to the far side and drop left onto the lower wall, run over the bridge and drop left again.
  • Dash past the enemies to the tower; Castellan Edgar stands at its very top.
  • Hand Edgar Irina's Letter and talk until he repeats; he also gives you a Sacrificial Twig.
  • Return past the enemies; where the path runs out, hop over the left-hand wall to light the Behind the Castle grace.
  • Work your way down to the bottom of the castle and use Edgar's summon sign outside the boss fog.
  • Defeat Leonine Misbegotten to earn the legendary Grafted Blade Greatsword.
  • Light the Morne Moangrave grace that appears after the fight.
  • Climb back to Edgar's tower and tell him the beast is dead; listen until he repeats.
  • Ride back to the spot near the Bridge of Sacrifice where Irina sat and speak with Edgar there.
  • Edgar's scene is done, so the rest of the Weeping Peninsula can now be explored freely.

Walkthrough: Weeping Peninsula: Sellen's True Body

  • Report back to Sellen at the Waypoint Ruins; with Lusat found, she asks you to meet her in person.
  • Warp to the Church of Pilgrimage and ride south-west until you reach the Fourth Church of Marika grace.
  • Enter the Witchbane Ruins just south of the church and talk to Sellen's true body to receive Sellen's Primal Glintstone.
  • Reload the area and listen to Witch-Hunter Jerren, who now stands in the ruins, until his lines start repeating.
