Golden fields and windmills above Liurnia, reached by the Grand Lift of Dectus or the Ruin-Strewn Precipice. Shaded Castle and the Windmill Village sit on its edges.

Bosses

  • Ancient Dragon Lansseax: First meeting near the Abandoned Coffin on the plateau's west side; the dragon flies off once it has taken enough damage. You finish it later north of the Rampartside Path grace.
  • Godefroy the Grafted: Locked in the Golden Lineage Evergaol, down the slope south-east of the Grand Lift of Dectus. He fights much like Godrick: stay at his back and avoid the wind-blast axe swings.
  • Demi-Human Queen Gilika: Lurks in the cellar of the Lux Ruins; enter the upper ruins from the south. Rush her down before she casts, and open the chest beyond for the Ritual Sword Talisman.
  • Night's Cavalry: Patrols the Altus highway near the Altus Highway Junction grace at night. Bring the horse down first, then attack the rider before he remounts.
  • Fallingstar Beast: Sits in a crater south-east of the Altus Highway Junction grace, south of the capital road. Stay at its flank, dodge the tail sweep and gravity pulse; it drops smithing stones.
  • Wormface: Guards the Minor Erdtree in the centre of the plateau. Never let its grab connect, and keep out of the death mist it breathes, which can kill you outright.
  • Sanguine Noble: Hidden below the Writheblood Ruins east of the Bridge of Iniquity. It casts blood sorcery from range, so close in quickly; the Bloody Helice waits in a chest nearby.
  • Godskin Apostle: Fought in the church at Dominula, Windmill Village; it unlocks the Windmill Heights grace. Dodge through its black flame and punish its long twinblade spins.
  • Crystalian Duo: A spear and a ringblade Crystalian at the end of Altus Tunnel. Break their shells with Strike damage and keep both in sight.
  • Omenkiller & Miranda, the Blighted Bloom: Guard the end of the Perfumer's Grotto. Pull the Omenkiller away from the giant flower and kill it first, then burn the flower.
  • Black Knife Assassin: Invisible ambusher hidden behind a secret wall in Sage's Cave. Watch for its footprints in the water and hit back as soon as it appears.
  • Necromancer Garris: Boss of Sage's Cave, opening with a skeletal snail summon. Kill the snail quickly, then press Garris before he calls more help.
  • Perfumer Tricia & Misbegotten Warrior: Boss pair of the Unsightly Catacombs. Tricia buffs and throws fire from the back, so cut her down first while the Misbegotten chases you.
  • Tibia Mariner: Haunts the Wyndham Ruins, north then west of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill grace. Chase the boat and ignore the skeletons; it also leaves a Deathroot.
  • Erdtree Burial Watchdog: Ends Wyndham Catacombs; this one uses lightning. Its Bell Bearing lets the Twin Maiden Husks sell Grave Glovewort; stay under its sword arm and use Strike damage.
  • Stonedigger Troll: Waits at the bottom of Old Altus Tunnel. Fight at its ankles and back off when it starts its spinning club attack.
  • Elemer of the Briar: The boss of the Shaded Castle, past the Shaded Castle Inner Gate grace. His shoulder charge and thorn burst come with clear wind-ups; roll through and punish.
  • Black Knife Assassin: Guards the entrance of Sainted Hero's Grave, north of the Rampartside Path grace. Block its quick strikes and keep the pressure on; it has little health.
  • Ancient Hero of Zamor: Waits at the end of Sainted Hero's Grave; the doors are opened by beating a shadow duelist near the start. Back off from its frost spin and punish the landing of its leap.
  • Ancient Dragon Lansseax: The real fight with Lansseax, on the plateau just north of the Rampartside Path grace. Ride under its belly, avoid the lightning storms and hit its legs.

  • Crimsonspill Crystal Tear: Dropped with the Speckled Hardtear by Wormface under the Altus Minor Erdtree near the Bower of Bounty grace.

  • Larval Tear: Take the road north from the Rampartside Path grace into the ruined building; the noble huddled in the corner is a Lion Guardian in disguise.
  • Celebrant's Sickle: Very rare drop from the blue-robed Celebrants of Windmill Village; run between the Windmill Village and Windmill Heights graces to farm them.
  • Black Knife: Reward for beating the Black Knife Assassin boss in the Sainted Hero's Grave.
  • Antspur Rapier: Dropped by Maleigh Marais, Shaded Castle Castellan, who invades in the ruins west of the Shaded Castle.
  • Bloody Helice: Drop from the Sanguine Noble in the Writheblood Ruins near the Bridge of Iniquity.
  • Marais Executioner's Sword: Reward for defeating Elemer of the Briar at the end of the Shaded Castle.
  • Troll's Golden Sword: In a wagon at the enemy camp east of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill grace.
  • Nagakiba: Bloody Finger Hunter Yura leaves it to you at the Second Church of Marika when his quest ends; killing him at any point also yields it.
  • Twinned Knight Swords: On a corpse among the heaps of bodies at East Windmill Pasture, near Windmill Village.
  • Godskin Peeler: Reward for defeating the Godskin Apostle in the church at Windmill Village.

  • Family Heads: Reward for defeating Necromancer Garris at the end of Sage's Cave.
  • Celebrant's Skull: On a corpse at the cliff's edge next to Windmill Village.
  • Great Stars: In the chest of the moving wagon west of the Road of Iniquity Side Path grace.
  • Great Club: Earned by killing the Stonedigger Troll at the end of Old Altus Tunnel.
  • Troll's Hammer: In the Old Altus Tunnel, go down to the lower level of the big cavern and loot the shack near the dogs.
  • Celebrant's Rib-Rake: Very rare drop (0.5%) from Celebrants on the road between the Windmill Village and Windmill Heights graces.
  • Raptor Talons: In Sage's Cave, push through the hidden walls past the skeleton room and open the chests in the next chamber.
  • Harp Bow: Reward for solving the Champion's Song painting: go to the plateau north of the Rampartside Path grace, where Lansseax lands, and a spirit leaves the bow.
  • Greatbow: At the top of the Highway Lookout Tower on the Altus Highway, north-west of the Outer Wall Battleground grace.
  • Perfumer's Shield: About 2% of Perfumers carrying it drop it; kill every one as you head to the first flower in Perfumer's Grotto.
  • Candletree Wooden Shield: In the first room with three chests in Sage's Cave, past the hidden walls.
  • Red Crest Heater Shield: The Nomadic Merchant by the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge grace sells it for 2,500 runes.

Walkthrough: Altus Plateau: Abandoned Coffin to Wyndham Ruins

  • Ride the lift past Makar's arena up to the Abandoned Coffin grace.
  • Head north-east past (or through) Ancient Dragon Lansseax and light the Erdtree-Gazing Hill grace.
  • Just east of the grace, harvest the Golden Seed from the golden sapling.
  • Find Millicent close to the grace and talk to her until she repeats.
  • Climb the slope north into the Wyndham Ruins and kill the Tibia Mariner for your fifth Deathroot and the Tibia's Summons sorcery.

Walkthrough: Altus Plateau: Rileigh and the Shaded Castle

  • From the Bridge of Iniquity grace, cross the bridge and use two spiritsprings, first south and then west, to descend the cliffs.
  • Ride north to the red sign near the Old Altus Tunnel, invade Rileigh the Idle and defeat him for Crepus's Vial.
  • Further north-west, outside the Shaded Castle, beat the invader Maleigh Marais, Shaded Castle Castellan for the House Marais Set.
  • Climb onto the castle ramparts through a gap in the west wall, walk them south to the end and take the ladder to the east.
  • At the top, go north to the room guarded by a Cleanrot Knight and open its chest for the Valkyrie's Prosthesis.
  • Return to the ladder, head east instead and hop across the rooftops to unlock the Shaded Castle Inner Gate grace for later.

Walkthrough: Altus Plateau: Millicent, Corhyn and Yura

  • At the Erdtree-Gazing Hill grace, give Millicent the Valkyrie's Prosthesis and let her finish talking.
  • Cross the battlefield to the east until you meet the road, then touch the Altus Highway Junction grace.
  • Rest at the junction and spend a moment talking with Melina.
  • Boc the Seamster has set up beside the same grace; talk to him until he repeats himself.
  • Through the passage north-east of the grace, follow the cliffs to pick up the Amber Starlight that Seluvis wants.
  • Ride the road north from the junction to find Brother Corhyn and ask him about Goldmask.
  • Collect Map: Altus Plateau from the stele standing close to Corhyn.
  • Ride north-west to the Second Church of Marika and talk to the dying Yura; his Nagakiba is left behind once he passes.
  • Defeat the invader Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger for Eleonora's Poleblade and the Purifying Crystal Tear.

Walkthrough: Altus Plateau: Goldmask and Dominula

  • Take the road north from the Altus Highway Junction to the bridge and touch the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge grace.
  • Hear out the Finger Reader crone who sits near the grace.
  • Goldmask stands alone on the broken far end of the bridge; reach him through the waygate and speak to him.
  • Go back down the road and tell Brother Corhyn where Goldmask can be found.
  • Reload, then return to the far end of the bridge, where Corhyn now stands beside Goldmask; talk until he repeats.
  • Speak to Goldmask as well while Corhyn keeps him company.
  • Ride east along the road from the greatbridge until the Windmill Village grace comes into view.
  • Fight through Dominula, Windmill Village and defeat the Godskin Apostle at its heart.
  • Beyond the arena, touch the Windmill Heights grace.
  • Find Millicent close to the grace and talk to her until she has nothing more to add.

Walkthrough: Volcano Manor: Rykard and Tanith's Feast

  • Return to Volcano Manor and collect Bernahl's thanks for the Leyndell hunt: the Gelmir's Fury sorcery.
  • Talk to Diallos, who is still lingering nearby.
  • Report Juno's death to Tanith and accept the Taker's Cameo.
  • Agree to meet Lord Rykard when Tanith offers; you are sent to the Audience Pathway grace.
  • Defeat Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy; the Serpent-Hunter spear lying at the arena entrance makes the fight far easier.
  • Rest at the new grace in the arena, Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, before leaving.
  • Back in the manor, speak to Tanith about her lord's death.
  • Catch Patches before he leaves the manor and hear his goodbye.
  • Talk to Bernahl and listen to everything he has to say.
  • Visit Rya in her room past the Temple of Eiglay grace and speak to her, still keeping the tonic.
  • Reload and collect Zorayas's Letter and Daedicar's Woe from the place where she sat.
  • Warp to the Shaded Castle Inner Gate grace, ride the lift toward the boss and find Patches on the statue bridge for the Dancer's Castanets.
  • At the Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy grace, talk to Tanith, who is now devouring his corpse.
  • Attack and kill Tanith beside Rykard's remains for the Consort's Set.
  • When her Crucible Knight bodyguard invades, defeat him for Aspect of the Crucible: Breath.
  • Find Patches back in his old Murkwater Cave arena, fight him and spare him once more to learn Patches' Crouch.
