Elden Ring Key Items Checklist

Keys, medallions, scrolls, prayerbooks and story items that open the way or stock the shops. Where to find each one in Elden Ring, DLC included.

Key

  • Rusty Key: Stormveil Castle: in a dark room guarded by a Banished Knight, not far from the Stormveil Cliffside grace.
  • Academy Glintstone Key: On a dead sorcerer behind Glintstone Dragon Smarag, west of the Academy of Raya Lucaria. You can grab it without killing the dragon.
  • Academy Glintstone Key: Raya Lucaria: cross the rooftops to the corpse hanging from the chandelier in the Church of the Cuckoo.
  • Imbued Sword Key: The Four Belfries in north-west Liurnia: climb to the highest belfry and open the chest up there.
  • Imbued Sword Key: Raya Lucaria Academy: on a corpse on the eastern part of the rooftops, reached from the Debate Parlor side.
  • Imbued Sword Key: Sellia, Town of Sorcery: light the braziers to drop the barrier on a small building in the north-east, then loot its chest.
  • Imbued Sword Key (Shadow of the Erdtree): Castle Ensis: in a chest inside the armoury room of one of the towers.
  • Drawing-Room Key: Lady Tanith hands it over when you agree to join Volcano Manor. If Rykard dies first, it is left on her chair.
  • Sewer-Gaol Key: The Dung Eater in Roundtable Hold gives it to you once you carry at least one Seedbed Curse.
  • Discarded Palace Key: Ranni's quest: after you beat the Baleful Shadow in Nokstella, talk to Miniature Ranni and she gives it to you.
  • Well Depths Key (Shadow of the Erdtree): Belurat: jump from the roof tiles onto the bridge and search the room to its east, guarded by two enemies.
  • Storeroom Key (Shadow of the Erdtree): Belurat: at the top of the waterfall, go into the room with a ladder and climb it; a corpse up there carries the key.
  • Gaol Upper Level Key (Shadow of the Erdtree): Lamenter's Gaol: turn left where the path first splits and look in the chest of the next room on the right.
  • Gaol Lower Level Key (Shadow of the Erdtree): Lamenter's Gaol: once through the upper grate, work along the lower walkways and scramble down the rocks to a chest.
  • Prayer Room Key (Shadow of the Erdtree): Dropped by the invader Fire Knight Queelign inside the Church of the Crusade, west of the Highroad Cross grace.
  • Messmer's Kindling (Shadow of the Erdtree): Dropped by Messmer the Impaler at the top of Shadow Keep.

Medallion

Scroll

  • Royal House Scroll: On a corpse at the ruins south-east of the Agheel Lake South grace, beside a sorcerer and an odd broken statue.
  • Academy Scroll: In a small graveyard just west of the Lake-Facing Cliffs grace.
  • Conspectus Scroll: Raya Lucaria: from the Schoolhouse Classroom grace, step into the building and turn left to a corpse in a side room.

Prayerbook

  • Assassin's Prayerbook: Roundtable Hold: break the imp statue seal (one Stonesword Key) and then the second seal behind it (two keys) to reach the chest.
  • Godskin Prayerbook: Stormveil Castle: below the grassy courtyard near the Rampart Tower grace, a stairway leads to an imp-sealed room; spend a Stonesword Key to open it.
  • Fire Monks' Prayerbook: On a corpse at the Fire Monk camp on Liurnia's southern edge, near the Lakeside Crystal Cave.
  • Dragon Cult Prayerbook: Dropped by the knight who patrols just south of the Artist's Shack (Liurnia) grace.
  • Two Fingers' Prayerbook: Leyndell: by a fireplace in a room south of the Fortified Manor, First Floor grace. Gone once the capital turns to ash.
  • Golden Order Principia: Leyndell: from the Erdtree Sanctuary go up to the second floor, drop to the roof, slip through a broken window and climb a root to the hanging chair. Lost after the capital burns.
  • Giant's Prayerbook: Guardians' Garrison: get past Chief Guardian Arghanthy and take the ladder behind him up the tower to a chest.
  • Ancient Dragon Prayerbook: Crumbling Farum Azula: head north-west from the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths grace into the big hall; it lies in the centre.

Quest Item

  • Irina's Letter: Irina gives it to you on the road near the Bridge of Sacrifice grace; carry it to Edgar at Castle Morne.
  • Chrysalids' Memento: Stormveil Castle: drop beside the hanging giant corpse past the Grafted Scion room and take it from the pile of bodies.
  • Sewing Needle: Dropped by the Demi-Human Chiefs at the end of Coastal Cave.
  • Gold Sewing Needle: In the chest at the Church of Vows on Liurnia's east side, together with the Golden Tailoring Tools.
  • The Stormhawk King: Chapel of Anticipation, reached later through a Four Belfries waygate: on the roof of the chapel's southern wing.
  • Black Knifeprint: Black Knife Catacombs: use the falling blades to climb to the upper platform, open the illusory wall and defeat the Black Knife Assassin there.
  • Fingerslayer Blade: In the chest beneath the huge skeletal statue at Night's Sacred Ground in Nokron.
  • Carian Inverted Statue: Ranni gives it to you at Ranni's Rise after you hand her the Fingerslayer Blade.
  • Miniature Ranni: Ainsel River Main: inside a stone coffin left open in the river.
  • Dark Moon Ring: Open the chest beside the Raya Lucaria Grand Library grace with the Discarded Palace Key.
  • Cursemark of Death: Climb the Divine Tower of Liurnia, reachable once the Carian Study Hall is inverted; it is on a body at the summit.
  • Seluvis's Introduction: Preceptor Seluvis writes it for you at Seluvis's Rise.
  • Seluvis's Potion: Preceptor Seluvis gives it to you at Seluvis's Rise after Ranni sends you to him.
  • Amber Starlight: In a ravine full of small octopus creatures north-east of the Altus Highway Junction grace.
  • Amber Draught: Preceptor Seluvis brews it from the Amber Starlight if you side with his plan against Ranni.
  • Sellian Sealbreaker: Sorceress Sellen gives it at the Waypoint Ruins after you show her Comet Azur.
  • Sellen's Primal Glintstone: Sellen hands it to you when you visit her true body below the Witchbane Ruins late in her quest.
  • Rya's Necklace: Buy it for 1,000 runes from Blackguard Big Boggart at the Boilprawn Shack, or take it off his body.
  • Serpent's Amnion: On the altar in the Temple of Eiglay after you defeat the Godskin Noble.
  • Tonic of Forgetfulness: Lady Tanith gives it after you have handed Rya the Serpent's Amnion.
  • Dancer's Castanets: After Rykard is dead, meet Patches again in the Shaded Castle, just outside Elemer of the Briar's arena, and he hands them over.
  • Valkyrie's Prosthesis: Shaded Castle: open the chest in the north-west tower room, which one Cleanrot Knight watches over.
  • Unalloyed Gold Needle: Dropped broken by Commander O'Neil in the Swamp of Aeonia. Sage Gowry repairs it for Millicent.
  • Unalloyed Gold Needle: Left on Millicent's body in the Haligtree once her quest is over and you sided with her.
  • Miquella's Needle: Use Millicent's Unalloyed Gold Needle on the scarlet flower left in Malenia's arena.
  • Lord of Blood's Favor: White Mask Varré gives the white cloth at the Rose Church; soak it in a maiden's blood at the Church of Inhibition.
  • Weathered Dagger: Fia gives it to you at Roundtable Hold once you reach the Altus Plateau.
  • Fingerprint Grape: Kill Festering Fingerprint Vyke, the invader at the Church of Inhibition in north-east Liurnia.
  • Alexander's Innards: Beat Iron Fist Alexander in the duel he asks for in Crumbling Farum Azula at the end of his quest.
  • Beast Eye: Gurranq, Beast Clergyman gives it to you at the Bestial Sanctum for your first Deathroot.
  • Igon's Furled Finger (Shadow of the Erdtree): Talk to Igon near the Foot of the Jagged Peak after killing the Jagged Peak Drake there.
  • Hole-Laden Necklace (Shadow of the Erdtree): Count Ymir gives it when you first speak with him at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr.
  • Ruins Map (Shadow of the Erdtree): Count Ymir gives it at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr along with the Hole-Laden Necklace.
  • Ruins Map (2nd) (Shadow of the Erdtree): Count Ymir gives it after you ring the first bell and report back to him.
  • Ruins Map (3rd) (Shadow of the Erdtree): Count Ymir gives it after the second bell has been rung.
  • Cross Map (Shadow of the Erdtree): Hornsent gives it to you at the Three-Path Cross when you first talk to him.
  • New Cross Map (Shadow of the Erdtree): Talk to Hornsent at the Highroad Cross grace after you get through Castle Ensis.
  • Black Syrup (Shadow of the Erdtree): Moore hands it to you at the Main Gate Cross as his quest moves on.
  • Secret Rite Scroll (Shadow of the Erdtree): Specimen Storehouse: leave the fourth-floor grace, slip left past the Fire Knight and down a staircase; the scroll lies on a desk at the back.
  • Letter for Freyja (Shadow of the Erdtree): Sir Ansbach writes it on the storehouse's first floor after you give him the Secret Rite Scroll and tell him about Freyja.
