Bosses

  • Godskin Duo: Fought in the Dragon Temple of Crumbling Farum Azula. The pair keep reviving until their shared health bar is gone, so hit whichever is closest and use the pillars against their fireballs.
  • Dragonlord Placidusax: Hidden in the storm beneath the Great Bridge: drop down the floating rubble near the Beside the Great Bridge grace and lie down in the hollow at the bottom to be carried to him. Stay near its heads and run when it teleports.
  • Maliketh, the Black Blade: Fought past the Beside the Great Bridge grace as the Beast Clergyman, who becomes Maliketh. Use Blasphemous Claw if you have it, and stay aggressive since his blade cuts your max health.

  • Golden Lightning Fortification: Ride the Dragon Temple Lift in Crumbling Farum Azula, then kill the Teardrop Scarab on the cliff edge just south of the fountain square.
  • Azula Beastman Ashes: In a hall of open graves below the Dragon Temple grace; it rests in one of the coffins.
  • Dragoncrest Shield Talisman +2: On a floating ruin between the Dragon Temple Lift and Dragon Temple Rooftop graces; it takes a careful jump from the third platform down.
  • Boltdrake Talisman +2: Past the Dragon Temple Rooftop grace, get under the lightning-struck bridge (risky jump or the lift by the dragon), pass the Crucible Knight and climb the ladder.
  • Old Lord's Talisman: From Beside the Great Bridge head north through the temple archway, climb down the balcony ladder and open the chest in the large tower.
  • Shard of Alexander: See Iron Fist Alexander's quest through and win his final duel in Crumbling Farum Azula. Killing him earlier gives the Warrior Jar Shard instead.
  • Golden Seed: Take the Dragon Temple Lift up to the higher ruins; the golden sapling stands among columns just south of the plaza with the fountain.
  • Golden Seed: Under a golden sapling among the pillars on the rise south-east of the Dragon Temple Rooftop grace.
  • Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone: A dragon swoops onto the curved walkway between the Crumbling Beast Grave and Crumbling Beast Grave Depths graces; kill it for the stone.
  • Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone: North of the Dragon Temple Altar grace, follow the walkway lined with dragon statues, climb the spiral stairs and cross a floating pillar to the platform held by a large Beastman and his dog.
  • Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone: Slay the dragon perched at the rear of the plaza lying south-east from the Dragon Temple Rooftop grace, the one repeatedly summoning red lightning.
  • Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone: In the gazebo behind the dragon that calls down lightning, at the rear of the plaza south-east of the Dragon Temple Rooftop grace.
  • Beastman's Curved Sword: Azula Beastmen with this sword drop it about 2% of the time; two rooms full of them lie past the Crumbling Beast Grave grace.
  • Beastman's Cleaver: Azula Beastmen with this cleaver drop it around 2%; a lone one waits past the Four Belfries portal, and two more are down the stairs below the Dragon Temple Lift.
  • Devourer's Scepter: Dropped by Recusant Bernahl when he invades near the Beside the Great Bridge grace late in his questline; killing him at the Warmaster's Shack also gives it.
  • Beastman's Jar-Shield: Azula Beastmen carrying it drop it about 2% of the time; several fill the rooms near the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths grace.
  • Dragon Towershield: From the Dragon Temple Rooftop, cross the bridge before the lightning dragon, drop west down the platforms, go through the east doorway and up the ladder to a chest guarded by a Banished Knight.

Walkthrough: Crumbling Farum Azula: Burning the Erdtree

  • Before going further, finish everything above: burning the Erdtree changes the Roundtable Hold and ends several questlines.
  • From the Fire Giant grace, climb to the Forge of the Giants, touch its grace and rest there to set the Erdtree ablaze.
  • Wake in Crumbling Farum Azula and touch the Crumbling Beast Grave grace.
  • Get past the dragon guarding the way ahead and rest at the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths grace.
  • Cut north-east through the building to the Tempest-Facing Balcony grace.
  • Follow the path onward to the Dragon Temple grace.
  • Turn round, jump off the cliff to the platform below and drop again, then run past the enemies along the left wall to the Dragon Temple Transept grace.
  • Summon Bernahl near the arena and defeat the Godskin Duo.
  • Touch the Dragon Temple Altar grace inside the arena.
  • Leave the altar by the north-east door; an Imp Statue there seals a lift that carries you up to the Dragon Temple Lift grace.
  • Beyond the dragon past this grace, find Iron Fist Alexander waiting for a duel; kill the dragon and reload if he hasn't appeared.
  • Defeat Alexander in his duel for the Shard of Alexander and Alexander's Innards.
  • Ride the lift back down, follow the lower path and slip past the Crucible Knight to the Dragon Temple Rooftop grace.
  • Sprint past the winged beasts and another dragon to a lift; at its top waits the Beside the Great Bridge grace.
  • Climb the stairs but turn left, away from the boss bridge, and take the ladder down toward the far tower.
  • Defeat the invading Recusant Bernahl for the Beast Champion Set, Devourer's Scepter and Blasphemous Claw.

Walkthrough: Crumbling Farum Azula: Placidusax and Maliketh

  • From the Beside the Great Bridge grace, ride the lift down, walk straight to the edge and drop to the platform below.
  • Follow that path to the empty dragon resting place and interact with it to be drawn into the storm.
  • Defeat Dragonlord Placidusax in the storm-wracked arena beyond time.
  • Touch the Dragonlord Placidusax grace after the fight.
  • Remember this spot: using Miquella's Needle here removes the Frenzied Flame, and you can come back to do it any time before the ending.
  • Final warning for the capital: beating Maliketh turns Leyndell to ash for the rest of this run, so finish exploring it first.
  • From the Beside the Great Bridge grace, climb the slope and defeat Maliketh, the Black Blade.
