Deeproot Depths

The roots of the Erdtree far underground: Fia's champions, Lichdragon Fortissax and the end of Fia's and D's questlines.

  • Suggested level: 90–110

Bosses

  • Crucible Knight Siluria: Stands by a great root west of the Nameless Eternal City grace in the Deeproot Depths. Shield up against the spear sweeps and dodge the flying dive.
  • Fia's Champions: Spirit warriors who attack in waves near the Across the Roots grace as part of Fia's quest. Use a ranged option or a summon on the final group, and fight one at a time.
  • Lichdragon Fortissax: Fought inside Fia's dream at the Prince of Death's Throne after her quest. Strike its head and wings, and keep moving to dodge the red lightning spears.

  • Fia's Hood: Collected from Fia at the Prince of Death's Throne after her questline and the Lichdragon Fortissax battle.
  • Crucible Tree Helm: In a chest behind Crucible Knight Siluria by the great tree in south-west Deeproot Depths, near the Nameless Eternal City.
  • Fia's Robe: Collected from Fia at the Prince of Death's Throne after her questline and the Lichdragon Fortissax battle.
  • Fia's Robe (Altered): Use Alter Garments at a Site of Grace on Fia's Robe; the base piece is left by Fia in Deeproot Depths.
  • Crucible Tree Armor: In a chest behind Crucible Knight Siluria by the great tree in south-west Deeproot Depths, near the Nameless Eternal City.
  • Crucible Tree Armor (Altered): Variant made by altering the Crucible Tree Armor (from the chest behind Siluria) from the Site of Grace menu after resting.
  • Ash of War: Vacuum Slice: On a body in the ruined temple ringed by waterfalls in Deeproot Depths, near the Across the Roots grace.
  • Ash of War: Golden Land: Dropped by a Teardrop Scarab behind the Erdtree Avatar near the Great Waterfall Crest grace.
  • Mending Rune of the Death-Prince: End of Fia's questline: after Lichdragon Fortissax falls, take it from Fia at the Prince of Death's Throne.
  • Remembrance of the Lichdragon: Dropped by Lichdragon Fortissax, fought only through Fia's questline in Deeproot Depths. Trade it to Finger Reader Enia in Roundtable Hold for Fortissax's Lightning Spear or Death Lightning.
  • Map: Deeproot Depths: Deeproot Depths: a body inside a gazebo in the ruined area holds it.
  • Fia's Mist: Reward for defeating Fia's Champions in Deeproot Depths.
  • Elden Stars: Follow a side root off the giant fallen tree near the Great Waterfall Crest into the ant cave; it lies past the ants.
  • Mausoleum Soldier Ashes: Head to the far north-east corner of the Nameless Eternal City in Deeproot Depths; it lies next to a tree.
  • Prince of Death's Cyst: Kill the big Runebear lurking in a cave hidden behind a waterfall, east of the Nameless Eternal City grace.
  • Inseparable Sword: Taken from D's twin brother, D, Beholder of the Dead, when you defeat him at the Prince of Death's Throne late in Fia's questline.
  • Staff of the Avatar: Drop from the Erdtree Avatar you meet on first arriving at the Great Waterfall Crest in the Deeproot Depths.
  • Siluria's Tree: Drop from Crucible Knight Siluria in the Nameless Eternal City.
  • Prince of Death's Staff: On the bridge toward the Prince of Death's Throne in the Nameless Eternal City, take the left fork and double back to the top of a tower where it lies.

Walkthrough: Deeproot Depths: Fia and Lichdragon Fortissax

  • At the Great Waterfall Basin grace, lie in the nearby coffin to drift down to the Great Waterfall Crest grace.
  • Cross the giant roots westward to the Deeproot Depths grace beside the cliffs.
  • Speak with the Finger Reader crone close to the grace.
  • Travel north to north-west of the grace and pick up Map: Deeproot Depths from its stele.
  • Climb the nearby roots east and upward to the Across the Roots grace.
  • Continue north into the arena and defeat Fia's Champions as they arrive in waves.
  • Let Fia hold you and give her the Cursemark of Death.
  • Rest at the Prince of Death's Throne grace, which glows right next to Fia.
  • Reload the area and let Fia hold you one more time.
  • Reload once more, then interact with the sleeping Fia to step into the dream.
  • Inside Godwyn's dream, defeat Lichdragon Fortissax and wake back beside Fia.
  • Take the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince from Fia's body when you wake.
  • Reload and talk to D, Beholder of Death, who now stands over Fia.
  • Collect Fia's Set from her body while D's brother watches.
  • Kill D's brother or simply reload to gather the Twinned Set and the Inseparable Sword.
